<title>BBC 2 &quot;Eggheads&quot; Programme. </title>
<link>http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=26</link>
<description>BBC 2 &amp;quot;Eggheads&amp;quot; ProgrammeWe have received a communication from Mr. Martyn Bon on behalf of the &amp;quot;Eggheads&amp;quot; quiz show production team. &amp;quot;12 Yard Productions are currently looking for vibrant and diverse teams to take part in the 12th series of the popular BBC2 quiz show Eggheads. Eggheads is a game in which 5 members of the public face general knowledge goliaths and try to beat them for a cash prize. When the Eggheads win, the money rolls over to the next show. Often a huge amount of money can be at stake. Each team will consist of 5 team members and 1 standby, so we need teams of at least 6 people. We are holding nationwide auditions over the coming weeks and are keen to find teams from all over the UK.&amp;quot; If members of the Meccano community are interested in putting together such a team, Mr Bon suggests you contact him on 01427 2915 or martyn.bo&#110;&#064;&#049;2yard.com (See http://www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/shows/beonashow/eggheads ) Bryn Jones. PS: I believe the West London Meccano Society did take part in this programme recently. </description>

<title>Nikko UK under Administration?</title>
<link>http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=19</link>
<description>According to http://www.toynewsmag.com/news/28206/Nikko-in-administration

Nikko UK is now under administration by Grant Thornton. I'm not sure of the implications, or what that means for the Japanese parent company. Probably not much. But will Meccano sets suddenly go for cheap-cheap in the UK?

<link>http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=17</link>
<description>Unfortunately, due to the heavy spamming of our forums, it is now necessary to stop non members from posting. Members of Meccanoscene are still able to post as usual but will be required to be logged in to the site to do so.

This will entail no change to most of you but will hopefully remove the constant abuse of our forums.

If you are not a member but wish to post in the forum please join by clicking here.

We now have over 400 members, why not help us to forge a comprehensive online Meccano community. Send us Articles, News, Links, Reviews &amp; Events for publication on Meccanoscene or just chat with our other members in the forum!

<title>Submitted Questions and the FAQ Area:</title>
<link>http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=16</link>
<description>Please note that the “Submitted Question” facility is provided to enable the creation of a “User Generated” list of “Frequently Asked Questions” to supplement the “Pre-defined” FAQs. Over time, this FAQ area will grow into a searchable database of technical questions and answers which will be useful to future Meccanoscene members.

Please ensure that your question is appropriate to this aim. Take a look at the FAQ area to see the kind of question involved. Short term questions relating to current site problems, times of exhibitions, etc. should be directed to a suitable section of the public FORUM. (Meccanoscene site difficulties are dealt with in the Technical Support / Support area.)

Remember that the answer to the “Submitted Question” will have to be researched by the Meccanoscene team, with valued assistance from members of the metal construction community. That can take some time. When the answer has been completed, it will be added to the FAQ area under “Answers to Submitted Questions” Look there for our response.

If the answer does not wholly meet your needs, you can have recourse to the public FORUM. The answer will usually include a suggestion for an appropriate FORUM section to which any follow-up might be addressed. Remember that any question in the public FORUM sections can be responded to immediately by any individual reading that section, thus directing your query to a much wider community.

<title>Club Details Procedure</title>
<link>http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=13</link>
<description> “Club Details Procedure”
Would club representatives please note that it is not possible for a member of the Meccanoscene team to assemble current year information for each club, and to present this as a complete file. If clubs wish their particular information set to be updated, they should use the standard procedure. Details of this procedure can be accessed from the submission menu on the left of this page. A revised header has been placed in the &quot;Club Details&quot; file to clarify this.

<title>New Meccanoman Online Store</title>
<link>http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=9</link>
<description>This has been a massive two year project for my son Ian and myself due to the vast amount of photograpy (nearly 2000 images) and the many unexpected problems and complexities encountered. These were compounded by the ever changing and growing product range. However, we believe MECCANOMAN now offers the most comprehensive range of Meccano and compatables Worldwide, all at very competitive prices. Not only do we have almost 100% of the range illustrated, but we also aim for 100% stock availability. Ordering and processing is now far more streamlined and should result in a quicker turnround making us &quot;THE&quot; one stop Meccano shop.

Access it at:

<title>Updates comming soon...</title>
<link>http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=3</link>
<description>Meccanoscene is still under development at the moment but there should be some updates coming soon. Most noticably an online gallery where you can submit pictures of models (or anything really) and also a facility for posting any tutorials or interesting articles you want to see on the web.

I will also be updating the look of the site to make it more colourfull and exciting.

Expect all this to happen in the next few weeks.
